Common questions
Can you do the substance abuse evaluation I need?
It is right to ask, because not all agencies or counselors are certified or understand your evaluation needs. The answer is yes. As a DOT Qualified Substance Abuse Professional, Clayton has extensive experience providing assessments with third-party involvement, including the mandatory documentation and reporting.
Will I have to do other things to complete the requirements?
A substance abuse evaluation with us includes a recommendation for the appropriate level of care, where appropriate, based on your needs, along with a referral to those services. These are always decided case by case, and the recommendation is tailored to your individual needs.
What does the evaluation involve?
Before you meet, Clayton sends you substance use screening forms and consent forms to complete electronically. Then you meet, in person or by live video, for a biopsychosocial assessment where he learns about your history, strengths and needs.
Can I do the evaluation over live video?
Yes. Most states allow video evaluations, and Clayton has had only one that did not. If you are unsure, confirm with whoever requires your evaluation before you schedule.
