Common questions
I failed a DISA drug test. Can you help?
Yes. Clayton performs non-DOT substance abuse evaluations, mostly for oil field workers who failed a drug test administered through DISA. Call or request a call and he will explain the next steps. SAPTX is an independent practice and is not affiliated with DISA.
Is a non-DOT evaluation different from a DOT one?
Yes. A DOT return-to-duty process follows federal rules for safety-sensitive jobs. If your drug test was not a DOT test, your evaluation is a non-DOT evaluation, and the next steps depend on what your employer requires.
What does the evaluation involve?
Before you meet, Clayton sends you substance use screening forms and consent forms to complete electronically. Then you meet, in person or by live video, for a biopsychosocial assessment where he learns about your history, strengths and needs.
Can I do the evaluation over live video?
Yes. Most states allow video evaluations, and Clayton has had only one that did not. If you are unsure, confirm with whoever requires your evaluation before you schedule.
Who receives my report?
Clayton sends your evaluation report, with the findings, recommendation and referral resources, to you and to the necessary parties where appropriate, such as your employer.
Let's get you back to work.
